About JJ
JJ Starshine writes from places of transition—where perspectives meet, boundaries blur, and overlooked voices begin to take shape. Guided by the belief that imagination is both an act of creation and resistance, JJ seeks out stories that have been ignored or hidden and brings them into focus.
From childhood, books were portals—enchanted, treacherous, irresistible. They taught JJ that every reality holds another beneath its surface, humming with its own magic. That truth still lingers.
In nature and on the streets of Stockholm, JJ notices small moments that suggest other possibilities and futures taking shape. Writing becomes a process of staying with those moments—observing, uncovering, and engaging with what usually goes unnoticed.
JJ is currently crafting The Adjustment Trilogy: The Down, The Up, and the third volume—still forming —working title The New. In the twilight between fiction, alternate realities, and countless universes, JJ discovers the seeds of new worlds and the characters who inhabit them.
